Blinds and shades typically do not require a lot of maintenance. They do require regular cleanings to keep that fresh new look in your home. Regular cleanings also help with preventing professional cleanings and repairs down the road. By using a feather duster or vacuum upholstery attachment, you can easily clean your window treatments with ease. Continue reading to learn tips for your window treatment care and cleaning.

Use a can of compressed air to dust off selected window coverings.

For blinds with painted and stained finishes, clean with spray polish and a soft cloth. For best results, do not use water on any wood products. Use a clean, dry feather duster, cloth or vacuum with brush attachment to gently remove dust and debris.
